Rumour: Apple in Talks to Acquire McLaren
Later on recently pulling the brakes on its rumored electric car projection, Apple tree may now be ready to hit the gas again.
The change is all thank you to the latest rumours that have appeared this week.
Word has it that Cupertino has been in talks for several months talks to purchase British luxury sports car maker, McLaren. The Financial Times, citing unnamed people "briefed on the negotiations," reports that Apple is mulling a full takeover or strategic investment.
"Apple's interest in the Woking-based visitor centres on its engineering science, engineering prowess, and patent portfolio, according to people briefed on the talks," FT reported.
This is not a washed bargain, then we'll have to look and see whether information technology will come to laissez passer. The study notes that McLaren has been working on a self-driving electric vehicle "for more than two years", so this could really help Apple tree accelerate its own efforts. McLaren concluding year produced some 1,500 cars, which sell for every bit loftier as U.s.$i million a pop.
